First, let me say no one ever wants to need these services but if you do, I cannot say enough about this staff. My dad spent his final days at the Family hospice inpatient unit at Canterbury Place and the staff and doctors were so kind, caring and compassionate. They of course want the patients to be pain free and comfortable but it’s the little things that set them apart. They take the time to talk to families and ask how we are. They make sure they are bathed, hair washed and they have clothes not hospital gowns to put on the patient. We were only there for three days before my dad passed, but there is not one negative things I can say. Everyone we came into contact with was amazing. I would especially like to thank our night nurse Beth. I honestly don’t know how they do what they do every day and maintain the level of compassion we received. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do to make difficult days a little easier. You are truly angels on this earth. 🩷

I couldn’t be more grateful for the doctors and every single person on staff here. My mother, Dessie, spent approx the last 2 weeks of her life in hospice here, passing away on Nov. 3rd @ 9:28am 2022, as I sat alone by her side.. I am an adult only child and losing my last parent has been extremely difficult for me mentally and emotionally. The aftercare offered to me and the continued contact from Family Hospice has been a gift🙏🏻 It has taken me a ‘long minute’ to get this review posted, I would have liked to sooner, but emotionally it was too difficult until now.
I highly recommend ❤️

My father ended his life journey here in hospice for two weeks. We had no choice due to his illnesses. I made the right decision to bring him here. The staff here are so wonderful, caring, loving to your loved one. The doctors are there for you if you need them. The nurses are around the clock with your loved one. Even though my family and myself were at my dad’s side most of the time, when I would come in the mornings, there would always be a volunteer or a nurse by his side talking kind words to him.
Can’t say enough about the care, sensitivity, and thoughtfulness this staff gave to my father and my family.
Also, This facility is very clean.
