My 85 year old mother was thrilled when we discovered Ecumenical! She ‘fell in love’ with the setting & amenities on her first visit. Ecumenical is located in a beautiful setting in Dauphin county… not your typical urban environment!

The apartment is a perfect size for my mom and is pet friendly! Benefits include meals, all utilities as well as month by month rent without a long-term contract.

I can’t begin to say enough about the staff and the residents— we visited several times before an apartment became available. Each and every visit, the hospitality, consistency & caring nature of the staff as well as the gracious welcome from the residents was genuine & authentic!

Once an apartment became available, the move-in process was flexible and easy! My mom’s enjoying making new friends and engaging in a variety of new activities! A ‘hidden gem’ if you are looking for independent living for an older parent!

My mom and I recently flew out to help her cousin move into Ecumenical, and from the moment we arrived for our tour, we were incredibly impressed. The staff’s enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear they genuinely love what they do. We were struck by how friendly and happy the residents seemed, creating a truly vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

The positive experience has continued well beyond the initial visit. My mom, her cousin, and I have all been thrilled with his first couple of weeks at Ecumenical. He’s settling in wonderfully, and we’re so relieved to see him thriving in such a caring community.

I highly recommend this home! My 87 year old mother is in independent living, and she is thriving. The meals are good! There are a ton of activities for her, and she is making friends. The staff is very kind and friendly. The place is very clean and well maintained. The maintenance staff is great.

Ecumenical is not just a retirement home, it’s a community. With opportunities to be as busy (or not) as you wish. The staff is exceptional and the living accommodations are warm, inviting and clean. You walk into Ecumenical and sense the cleanliness and the positive atmosphere right away. On a nice day the residents are out on the front porch area talking and chatting and greeting all who come to visit with a smile and a personal greeting. Ecumenical is a well run home that I’m proud to tell my friends and acquaintances that my mother lives there. My father spent his last dementia year there and the staff could not have been more caring. He was well cared for till the end and I’ll always be grateful for the care he received. My father-in-Law also was a resident in the assisted living building for 3.5 years. Although he resisted in moving out of his home until he had no choice, once there he would say “I have to pinch myself, I didn’t know I would be staying in such a nice place”. That was something coming from “Big Henry”. I’m always recommending folks to check out Ecumenical when they are looking for a home for a loved one.
