Each person from Homeland that came into my home was kind, compassionate, and gentle with my husband during the last month of his life. Nurse Helen was absolutely the best! She cared about my husband’s dignity, his pain, and always had a gentle and soothing tone when she spoke to him. She also understood the heartbreak I was experiencing while watching my husband struggle with cancer. I can’t thank her and the rest of the staff enough for taking such good care of him.
Shadowed under Hadiza as a nursing student. She was awesome! You could tell she truly cared for each of her patients and was very knowledgeable about their illnesses. She knew the story behind each of the patients, communicated superb with staff, and overall a bright, cheerful person in a hard profession. A great model nurse!!! Thank you Hadiza 🙂
Selecting Homeland was the right choice and best decision for our Mom. We got an entire team, well-coordinated and actively engaged at all the right times. Every single person involved showed great compassion, provided excellent advice and guidance, and ensured the family was always involved and informed. Additionally, the team actively engaged with her personal care team at her retirement community ensuring they provided right care. The team consistently responded promptly to all requests for additional items and equipment – they were always just a phone call away. I am especially grateful when the nursing team aggressively pushed back on the retirement community in her last days when they insisted our Mom be sent to the hospital, which was obviously not practical and against her care plan. From beginning to end, we were very happy with the support to the family and the care for our Mom. Thank you Homeland Team!
My mom was diagnosed with a second round of cancer March 2023. We reached out to Homeland starting a palliative care for her. Our nurse Dora and Dr. Wenner were extremely helpful in starting us all out on moms journey. With that being said she eventually was turned over for full Hospice Care with Homeland. Everything that we needed was given immediately to help our mom for her comfort. It was a blessing that Dora and Lindsey were there to assist us through each transition that my mom went through right up to the very last day. Their kindness and compassion and to be service to others is so important to family’s when taking care of a loved one. I know our mother, Theresa, felt the same way. She made it to her 85th birthday which we were very happy and at the same time Homeland gave her a smooth transition.

When our Mother left a nursing home and was admitted to the ICU it happened quickly. We did not need home care, but Erin K and Brianna G from Homeland arrived at the hospital almost immediately to offer our family support. They were compassionate, helpful, and attentive, but not intrusive. Their kindness and professionalism truly helped our family during what was an extremely overwhelming and difficult time.
