Update: I had to move to a different county a couple months ago and my mother wasn’t moving in with me and she was going to be living too far from me so we had to end it with freedom care but then we were told we could put it on hold because we would only be gone about a year. I was very happy that they told me I could put it on hold instead of having to start all over after the year. That was awesome.

I haven’t been a client of Freedom Care in PA for a long time but so far I am very impressed with them. I am able to have my mother take care of me and get paid so she doesn’t have to get a job and juggle taking care of me and my home life and then go to work, which she was doing for years before we found out about Freedom Care. Not only do I have physical disability that requires me to elevate both my legs all throughout the day and night but I also am diagnosed with mental disabilities as well. My main mental disorder is bipolar type 1. I am so grateful to Freedom Care especially because I do not trust very easily. I also just got out of a year-long psychosis so I find it a lot harder to believe people are who they say they are and want what’s best for me and not to hurt me. The fact that Freedom Care makes it possible for me to have a caretaker so I can focus on my disabilities and it being my mother and not some random nurse who doesn’t know me and how I am, I am very, very, very grateful.

The only problem I am having which is my mother and my fault, not Freedom Care’s fault at all is we both are having such a hard time remembering to clock in on time as well as remembering to clock out on time. A lot of the times, we forget to even click in at all for that day until it’s way too late. It’s been over a month or going on 2 months since we started with Freedom Care and we still cannot seem to remember to clock in and out. I wish there was a better way for us to clock in and out. But other than that, Freedom Care is an amazing place.
