This center is designed to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment, ensuring that residents receive the care they need to regain independence and maintain their quality of life.

Facility Overview and Services

Corner View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has a capacity of 187 beds and participates in both Medicare and Medicaid programs, making it accessible to a wide range of patients. Additionally, the facility provides specialized care such as wound care, respiratory therapy, optometry, dental care, and audiology services, all conveniently available on-site.

A key feature of Corner View is its focus on individualized care plans. Upon admission, each resident undergoes a thorough assessment by the clinical team to develop a personalized treatment plan. Quality of Care and Reputation

Corner View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has faced some challenges regarding its compliance with health and safety standards. Recent inspections have reported deficiencies in areas such as infection control, resident rights, and the adequacy of care planning. While these issues did not result in immediate harm to residents, they highlight areas where the facility could strengthen its practices to ensure higher standards of care.

The facility’s overall rating reflects these challenges, and it is important for potential residents and their families to consider these factors when evaluating the center. Despite these challenges, many residents and their families appreciate the center’s commitment to providing comprehensive care and the efforts of its compassionate staff.

Conclusion

Corner View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers a range of essential services in a facility that is dedicated to helping residents recover and thrive. While the center has areas that require improvement, particularly in meeting health and safety regulations, it remains a viable option for those in need of skilled nursing care and rehabilitation in the Pittsburgh area. Don’t judge the book by the cover.

This facility is not modern and is a rehabilitation center.

Yes, the elevator breaks down and the phone lines go out. They usually have the phone lines back on by the next day. The elevator is another issue; it’s old. They have a freight elevator that is used. If both are out, you might have to use the stairs. I had to climb 5 flights of stairs .

My reasons for working with Cornerview out weigh some of the maintenance problems they have sometimes
The staff are very serious about care and concern for your loved one. They address my concerns in a timely manner. You might have to give them a day to get back to you; just remember they do have other patients. The staff on the floors speak to me when I come to visit and ask me if I have any questions. I’m able to communicate with the doctor. The doctor might need a day to get back to you; remember, he has other patients.

You can see the activity calendar on the wall. I see events happening in the activity room. My loved one has spoken about a group she enjoys attending. Sometimes I see comfort animals with patients. They take some patients on outings and bus trips.

My loved one didn’t like the facility at first; it was a lifestyle change. Now that she has adjusted, she has admitted many times it’s not bad; she likes the people.

Corner View Nursing Home takes good care of my mother. She has adopted the 4th floor staff as her bonus family and we all work together for my Mom’s best interest.
